Outbound Sales Development Representative

The Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) generates new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, emailing and discovery. As a member of a small and rapidly growing team, this role will have direct input on RFPIO’s go-to-market strategy, providing input and prospect feedback for product improvement, and a chance to learn and grow in your career.

A successful Outbound SDR will be comfortable wearing multiple hats in an ambiguous environment, defining processes on the fly and work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to close deals.

Essential Functions:

  • Prospect sales ready accounts
  • Creatively engage with prospects via phone, email, direct mail and social media (including cold calls)
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Effectively communicate RFPIO’s value to potential prospects
  • Generate contacts within potential customers
  • Qualify viable opportunities Create and maintain target prospects lists
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to log, track and report on prospecting activity

Other Duties:

  • Achieve call metrics and meeting goals
  • Schedule product demo’s for Account Executives
  • Develop market penetration strategy with Sales and Marketing Teams Design and implement new and creative outreach strategies
  • Assist communication between Marketing and Sales teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 1+ years of experience in related role preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable
  • Working knowledge of CRM, preferably Salesforce Experience with Outreach.io and DiscoverOrg a plus
  • A willingness to receive feedback and coaching to improve skills Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Comfortable in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • An optimistic outlook and a great sense of humor are much appreciated
